Some useful links for online newspapers from the Web Design Update list
Laura Carlson is a familiar name in my inbox. I’ve been reading the Web Design Update for at least five years, and Laura’s the one that puts that email together every week. She works for the Information Technology Systems and Services at University of Minnesota Duluth. The email keeps me up with what’s going on and what’s coming up in web design land. It’s a good resource for developers, but there are also articles worth reading for the general online newspaper worker type.
Here’s the relevant links from the most recent edition:
- Effectively Testing Your Website in Multiple Browsers
- Which design? An introduction to Split A/B testing
- Banner Blindness: Old and New Findings
If you’re interested in this kind of stuff, let me recommend my online developers link library at furl.net.

Thank you, Joe. A very useful list. Thank you for assembling it. I will link to it shortly and will send it to my residency program director.
